Death toll in Gaza rises

Medical sources announced on Thursday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 56,259, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).
The sources added that "the number of injuries has risen to 132,458 since the start of the aggression, while a number of victims remain under the rubble, unable to be reached by ambulances and civil defense crews."
It noted that "103 martyrs and 219 injured were admitted to Gaza Strip hospitals over the past 24 hours, while the death toll and injuries since March 18, when the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement, has reached 5,936 martyrs and 20,417 injuries."
