Israeli Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote X:
“Yesterday, the Israeli army carried out a strike in the Babliyeh area in southern Lebanon, eliminating Hussein Ali Mezher, who was in charge of fire coordination in the Zahrani sector of Hezbollah’s Badr Unit.
As part of his role, the terrorist was advancing plans to launch multiple rockets toward the State of Israel and IDF forces. He had also recently been involved in efforts to rebuild Hezbollah’s artillery units in southern Lebanon.
Hussein Ali Mezher's activities constituted a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon. The IDF will continue to act to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel.”
