Gold prices drop

Gold prices fell today, affected by a stronger dollar and easing market tensions after US President Donald Trump said it was "highly unlikely" he would fire Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.

Spot gold dropped 0.2% to $3,340.79.

US gold futures slipped 0.4% to $3,347.10.
