Salam and Jumblatt Urge Restraint to Avert Strife

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam held a phone call with former Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt, during which they both emphasized the need to preserve Syria’s unity and for all its people to come together under the umbrella of the Syrian state. They also stressed the importance of exercising wisdom and restraint in Lebanon and avoiding reactions that could spark internal tensions among citizens of the same nation.
The Prime Minister praised Jumblatt’s efforts, along with those of other prominent figures across various regions, to prevent internal strife that could threaten the country’s stability and its path toward restoring state authority, which remains the reference for all Lebanese.
