Patriarch Rahi leads a series of meetings

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi received in Diman, the new Iraqi Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Reda Al-Husseini, who briefed him on the situation of Christians in Iraq, emphasizing the depth of the historical relationship between the two countries.
The Iraqi Ambassador also expressed Iraq's constant readiness to support Lebanon, especially at the economic level.
Patriarch Rahi wished Ambassador Al-Husseini success in his new duties and in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between the Lebanese and Iraqi peoples.
Patriarch Rahi also received in Diman, former Minister Ibrahim Chamseddine, with whom he discussed the general situation and developments on the local arena
Among Diman's itinerant visitors for today had been former Minister Jihad Azour and his brother Antoine, who affirmed their support for Patriarch Rahi’s patriotic stances. The discussion reportedly touched on the latest developments on the local scene and the general economic situation.
