Watch: Settlers in Al-Aqsa Courtyard, and Here's What Ben Gvir Said

8/3/2025 10:22:00 AM

The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem reported that 1,251 settlers, led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Knesset member Amit Halevi, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque amid Talmudic prayers, dancing, and shouting that filled the mosque’s grounds, on the occasion of what is referred to as the "Destruction of the Temple" anniversary.

According to Palestinian media, settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, carried out provocative tours, and performed Talmudic rituals openly and collectively.

Ben Gvir led these incursions and prayers. He was quoted as saying: "Just as we proved it is possible to control the Al-Aqsa Mosque, it is possible to occupy the entire Gaza Strip and encourage voluntary migration," adding, "We must occupy Gaza and declare sovereignty over the entire Strip."
