Beirut Port stops operations at 6:00 pm on August 4

Under the direction of Omar Itani, Chairman and General Manager of the Port of Beirut, operations at the port will come to a halt today, Monday, August 4, 2025, at 6:00 pm, marking five years since the August 4 explosion. A minute of silence will be observed in honor of the victims.
At that symbolic moment, ships will sound their horns and cranes will be raised skyward in a silent, heartfelt tribute to the deep national wound left by the tragedy.
