The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta in the UK witnessed a dramatic incident when a hot air balloon collided with the roof of Connaught Oasis Academy Primary School during its landing phase, according to the British newspaper Daily Mail.
Footage showed the balloon flying at a dangerously low altitude before its basket touched the school’s roof, causing minor damage to the tiles. No injuries were reported, as the school was almost empty due to the summer holiday.
Eyewitnesses told the newspaper about tense moments when the basket tilted and the passengers nearly fell, before the crew regained control and landed safely in the school’s playground.
