Lebanon Advances to FIBA Asia Cup Quarterfinals

Lebanon’s national basketball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIBA Asia Cup, hosted in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, after a decisive 97–73 win over Japan in Tuesday night’s Round of 16 knockout match, where they delivered an outstanding performance, playing their best game of the continental tournament so far, following a win over Qatar and losses to Australia and South Korea in the group stage.
Lebanon’s players dominated from the start, eliminating Japan from the competition in front of a large crowd of Lebanese fans in Saudi Arabia.
They will face New Zealand on Thursday in the quarterfinals, riding high morale and strong public support.
