8/13/2025 12:20:00 PM
The first Air Algérie flight to Beirut in years will arrive at 2:15 pm on Thursday, fulfilling a pledge by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. Minister of Information Paul Morcos and Algerian Ambassador Kamal Bou Shama will be present to welcome the aircraft.
Among the passengers will be Lebanon’s outgoing ambassador to Algeria, Mohammad Hassan, concluding a diplomatic mission marked by service to Lebanon across multiple sensitive files during challenging times. Hassan undertook several personal initiatives in Algeria, most notably organizing a special celebration for the Lebanese Army with the participation of the Algerian Army, a first in the two countries’ history.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ambassador Hassan will present President Tebboune with a symbolic gift of 100 cedar trees.
Algeria has previously pledged multiple forms of assistance to Lebanon and a commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the interest of both nations.
