Good News for Public Sector Retirees

Head of the General Labor Union Bechara Asmar said in a statement to MTV that “the government has approved a draft law to begin paying 12 million LBP per month to public sector retirees, in line with military retirees.” He added, “We are awaiting Parliament’s approval, after which the measure will take effect immediately, without retroactive application.”
