The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As part of the security measures carried out by the military institution across various regions, the Intelligence Directorate arrested seven individuals as follows:
- Citizens (J.Ch.), (Z.A.), (M.A.), and (J.A.) in the Bchamoun – Aley area for running a gang involved in trafficking in military weapons, opening fire, and using and promoting drugs. A handgun and a quantity of drugs were seized in their possession.
- Citizen (Z.H.) in the Laylaki area – Dahiyeh for running a gang specialized in stealing motorcycles, opening fire, threatening citizens, and using and promoting drugs. A military weapon was seized in his possession.
- Citizen (W.A.) and Syrian national (F.A.) in the Ghazir – Keserwan area for drug use and promotion. A large quantity of drugs was seized in their possession.
The seized items were handed over to the specialized authority, and investigations have begun with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
