Aoun meets Economic Bodies Chief, discusses investment climate and banking sector revival

President Joseph Aoun received the head of Lebanon’s Economic Bodies and former minister Mohamed Choucair at Baabda Palace.
Following the meeting, Choucair praised the President’s “tremendous efforts and wisdom in managing national files,” highlighting positive economic indicators, including the emergence of new investments and startups.
He emphasized the need for a robust banking sector to support economic recovery and pointed to “significant Arab presence in Lebanon,” expressing hope for the imminent return of Saudi nationals.
Choucair voiced optimism about the broader economic outlook and welcomed the upcoming reform legislation expected to boost growth and investor confidence.
