A fire broke out in the electrical room of the building where Industry Minister Joe Issa Khoury lives.
Khoury wrote on his X account: “At night, a fire broke out in the electrical room of the building where I live. I called the Beirut Fire Brigade. They arrived after ten minutes and managed to control the fire quickly and professionally, with a bravery befitting men of duty.”
He added: “I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the fire brigade members, especially Captain Michel el Murr’s team, for their constant dedication and sacrifices to protect people and safeguard public safety. Once again, you prove that you are truly the heroes of this country. May God protect you.”
Khoury also shared a video showing the fire.
