Watch: Largest Weapons Collection Operation Since Civil War

Lebanese sources told Al Arabiya that the Lebanese Army has begun the largest weapons collection operation since the end of the civil war, as part of the state’s efforts to consolidate arms under government control.

The operation includes Palestinian camps located south and north of the Litani River and is coordinated with the Palestinian Authority.

Sources added that the government insisted on speeding up the operation, sending a clear message of its commitment to enforcing the arms consolidation decision. The initiative is part of international coordination to rally support for the Lebanese Army before the end of the year.
