Minister of National Defense Michel Menassa expressed profound sorrow over the death of a Lebanese Army officer and soldier, and the injury of two others, during an inspection of an Israeli drone that had crashed in the Ras Naqoura area.
In a statement, Menassa extended his condolences to the Lebanese Army Command and the families of the fallen, praying for their peace and for the swift recovery of the wounded.
“The Lebanese Army constantly faces grave challenges,” he said, “and it continues to make the highest sacrifices in defense of national sovereignty and stability, particularly in the South.”
Menassa affirmed that “the blood of the martyrs will remain a symbol of devotion and national duty,” stressing that the military institution will hold firm to its mission regardless of the difficulties.
