Jumblatt contacts Army Commander offering condolences, commending speech

Former Progressive Socialist Party Chief Walid Jumblatt contacted Friday Army Commander General Rodolph Haykal, offering his condolences over the martyrdom of First Lieutenant Mohammad Ismail and First Adjutant Rifaat al-Tuaimi, who were killed when an Israeli drone exploded during an inspection in the town of Naqoura.

During the call, Jumblatt praised "General Haykal's speech, in which he affirmed the army's commitment to shouldering its responsibilities and taking the necessary steps to ensure the success of its mission, while preserving civil peace and internal stability in the country."
