Spain presents a plan to the European Union to stop the war in Gaza

Spain announced on Saturday that it had submitted an action plan to the European Union to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, stressing the need for urgent action to halt the destruction, death, and famine and achieve peace in the Middle East, according to the WAFA news agency.
Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said via the X platform that his country will defend the importance of this plan during the European Union foreign ministers' meeting on Saturday, stressing that the time has come to take practical steps to end the crisis.
It's worth noting that Spain has been demanding a halt to arms exports to Israel since 2023 due to the war on Gaza, before its position later evolved to include a ban on arms purchases from Israel.
