Berri receives Ambassadors of France and Uzbekistan, briefed by Minister Hani on Lebanon's agricultural sector situation

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh, French Ambassador to Lebanon Hervé Magro, in the presence of Speaker Berri's Advisor Mahmoud Berri.
The discussion reportedly touched on the general situation in Lebanon and the region, political developments, and bilateral relations between Lebanon and France.
Speaker Berri also received the non-resident ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Lebanon, Abdussalam Khatamov, who paid him a protocol visit after he presented his credentials.
The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss ways to develop bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the legislative domain.
This afternoon, Speaker Berri met with Agriculture Minister Nizar Hani, who briefed him on the state of the country’s agricultural sector, the challenges facing farmers, and the ministry's work program to develop this sector and empower farmers to meet these challenges.
