Arab World Condemns Israel’s Forced Displacement Threat in Gaza

9/6/2025 12:25:00 PM

The Israeli army is demolishing residential buildings in Gaza City as part of a plan to displace residents and take control, while urging civilians to move south toward Khan Younis. Heavy bombardments continue on residential towers, with Israel designating al-Mawasi as a so-called “humanitarian zone.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks suggesting Palestinians could leave Gaza through Rafah sparked strong Arab backlash. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait all condemned the comments as attempts at forced displacement, violations of Palestinian rights, and breaches of international law.

Netanyahu claimed many Gazans want to leave, but Egypt firmly rejected this, stressing it will never be a gateway for displacement and calling the issue a red line.
