Time Is Running Out: UN Warns of Gaza Hunger Crisis

A senior United Nations official warned that time is running out to stop the spread of famine in Gaza, calling on Israel to allow humanitarian aid into the conflict zone without any obstacles.
UN Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher said, “There is a slim window until the end of September to prevent famine from spreading to Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis. That window is closing rapidly.”
According to a global hunger monitoring observatory, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are already suffering from famine or are at risk of famine in areas including Gaza City, the largest city in the Strip.
