The two leaders reviewed the general situation in the country, with particular focus on developments in the South following the most recent Cabinet session. Upon leaving, Speaker Berri remarked: “With the blessings of Our Lady Mary, everything is fine.”

President Aoun then met Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Rasul Jumaly, accompanied by embassy adviser Yermek Sydykbekov and CCC Director General Wajdi Maalouf. Talks highlighted bilateral relations and avenues for cooperation. Ambassador Jumaly stressed his country’s desire to deepen ties, noting the positive role of the Lebanese community in Kazakhstan’s development.

In a separate meeting, Aoun received a delegation from the Syndicate of Social Work Specialists, headed by Nadia Badran, who outlined the syndicate’s history, training programs, and proposed law for professional regulation. The President affirmed his support, stressing the need for ethics alongside science in all professions.

Later, Aoun honored State Council Judge Karl Irani, awarding him the National Order of the Cedar at the rank of Officer, following his UN and U.S. recognitions for anti-corruption efforts.

Finally, the President received Lebanon’s new Ambassador to Morocco, Ali Daher, offering guidance and wishing him success in strengthening bilateral ties.
