Aoun welcomes former French President Hollande, underlines historic relations between Lebanon and France

President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received former French President François Hollande, at Baabda Palace, shortly after his arrival in Beirut to participate in a dialogue organized by L'Orient-Le Jour newspaper as part of its centenary celebrations.
President Aoun welcomed former President Hollande, recalling his support for Lebanon during his tenure as French president, and underlining "the historical relations between Lebanon and France, which has always supported Lebanon in various fields."
The meeting was attended by French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro. Presidents Aoun and Hollande discussed the existing cooperation between Lebanon and France. They also conducted a tour of horizons on the situation in Lebanon and the latest developments in the region.
