Watch: Protesters Gather at Serail Gates

The National News Agency reported that several protesters, retired military personnel at Riad al-Solh Square, attempted to remove barbed wire and breach the fence separating them from the government palace. Some even climbed onto firefighting vehicles, despite calls for calm from Brigadiers George Nader and Chamel Roukoz.

They also set fire to vegetation in the area, but no clashes with army or security forces have been reported.
