Here’s how Salam responded after the Israeli threats

During a Cabinet session, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam commented on Israeli threats to target the south, stating:

“The Lebanese government, committed to the path of halting hostilities, affirms that it is engaged in the process’s meetings. But the legitimate question today is: Where is Israel’s commitment to this process? How is it conceivable that it continues to carry out intimidation and attacks while these meetings are supposed to ensure the full implementation of Resolution 1701 and the cessation of hostilities?”

He further called on the international community, particularly the countries sponsoring the cessation-of-hostilities agreement, to exert maximum pressure on Israel to immediately stop its attacks, return to the process, and comply with the agreement and its obligations, including withdrawing from Lebanese territories it still occupies, halting assaults, and releasing prisoners.
