The Palestinian flag was raised over the Palestinian mission building in the British capital, London, following the United Kingdom’s recognition of the State of Palestine.
Palestinian Ambassador to London Husam Zomlot described the British recognition as a historic moment. He said the step comes at a time when the Gaza Strip is facing a campaign of extermination and starvation by Israel.
The ambassador added that Palestine is preparing for liberation, prosperity, and a bright future, stressing that “Palestine will remain in the hearts of all the peoples of the world.”
