Austrian FM: Medical evacuations needed in response to ‘catastrophic’ conditions in Gaza

Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger says the “catastrophic” humanitarian situation in Gaza has prompted it to join calls to establish a medical “corridor” so that patients can be evacuated from Gaza for treatment in the occupied West Bank.

“Together, we call on Israel to open a humanitarian corridor and allow medical supplies into the Gaza Strip,” she said in a post on X.
