Sweden calls on Israel to allow medical evacuations from Gaza to occupied West Bank

Sweden’s Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard has reiterated a call for Israel to restore a medical corridor to allow patients to be transferred from Gaza to the occupied West Bank for treatment.
“In light of the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza, it is crucial that severely ill patients receive the medical treatment they need,” she said in a post on X.
“According to WHO, evacuations to the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, is one of the fastest and most effective routes. Together with 25 other donors, Sweden calls on Israel to allow patients from Gaza to receive the necessary medical treatment there,” the minister added.
