The Port of Beirut has secured the 54th position worldwide in the World Bank’s 2024 Container Port Performance Index, cementing its place among leading global ports in terms of efficiency and logistical development.
In a statement, the Port Authority highlighted the facility’s consistent progress in enhancing its operations and delivering high-quality services to partners and clients. The port ranked 81st in 2023 and 323rd in 2022, reflecting a dramatic leap in performance within just two years.
The report underscores Beirut Port’s growing capacity to improve its global standing, strengthen trade flows, and consolidate its role as a key driver of Lebanon’s national economy.
