Watch: Army Engages in Shootout with High-Risk Suspects

The Lebanese Army – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 26/9/2025, following a series of security operations targeting dangerous wanted individuals, units of the Lebanese Army, supported by the Intelligence Directorate, conducted raids in the town of Dar El Wasaah in Baalbek. The operations aimed to arrest several wanted persons, including the citizen (H.J.), wanted for multiple crimes: firing at army posts and patrols, killing soldiers, forming gangs for arms and drug trafficking, kidnapping for ransom, armed robbery, and shooting incidents.
During the raids, the mentioned suspect and others fired at army personnel, injuring several soldiers. The army returned fire, leading to the suspect’s death.
Investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent judiciary, and efforts continue to apprehend the remaining wanted individuals.
