Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh received Hungarian Ambassador to Lebanon Ferenc Csillag in his office at the Sanayeh National Library.
They discussed bilateral relations, particularly cultural relations, according to the ambassador's statement following the meeting.
He said: "I was honored to meet with the Minister of Culture. It was an opportunity to discuss cooperation between the two countries, and I informed him that we are preparing a memorandum of understanding on cultural cooperation between Lebanon and Hungary, which we hope will be signed soon to develop and boost our cultural relations." He added: "This was an opportunity for me to inform the Minister that a Hungarian exhibition on the restoration of Lebanon's historic churches will be held at the Vatican in early November.'' This exhibition is part of the Hungarian aid program we implemented, which includes the restoration of 64 historic churches in Lebanon. He clarified that this program is still ongoing.
