Photos: Lebanon’s Army Chief Gets Renewed Support in Qatar

Army Commander General Rodolph Haykal began a two-day official visit to Qatar at the invitation of Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Lebanese and Qatari armies amid current challenges.
General Haykal met with Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, who reaffirmed Qatar’s continued support for Lebanon’s state institutions, the Lebanese Army, and the Lebanese people. General Haykal expressed his gratitude for Qatar’s unconditional support at all levels.
He also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani. Discussions focused on the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, the Lebanese Army’s efforts to maintain security and stability across the country, its cooperation with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), and the implementation of the cessation of hostilities agreement.
