The following statement was issued by Public Health Minister Rakan Nasreddine:

"Regarding what has been circulated on social media and in the media concerning Decision No. 1931/1 dated 13/10/2025 issued by the Acting Minister of Public Health, which includes suspending Tannourine Company from bottling and selling drinking water in the markets due to contamination, the Ministry of Public Health wishes to clarify the following:

1- The decision was issued by the Acting Minister of Public Health because the official Minister of Public Health is outside Lebanese territory.

2- The ministry is responsibly monitoring the testing of additional drinking water samples from the markets under the name 'Tannourine' in laboratories, and the final results are still pending before taking further action.

3- The Ministry of Public Health has begun collecting samples from drinking water bottles available in the markets from most companies to test and ensure their safety and quality.

4- The Ministry of Public Health confirms that the measures taken against Tanourine Company will be immediately lifted if the company takes all necessary steps to ensure the quality and safety of its water, thereby guaranteeing public health. At the same time, the ministry emphasizes its firm commitment to protecting the health of Lebanese citizens and preserving the reputation of Lebanese companies that comply with health standards."
