The US Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa, said that Lebanon’s future belongs to everyone who believes in its recovery, independence, and unity.
Speaking at a reception hosted at the Lebanese Embassy in Washington, Issa announced that he will soon be heading to Lebanon to begin his mission as US Ambassador. He noted that this is not just a professional assignment, but a personal journey, as he was born in Beirut and Lebanon has always remained close to his heart.
Issa was recently sworn in as the new US Ambassador to Lebanon.
On this occasion, US Deputy Envoy to the Middle East Morgan Ortagus congratulated him, saying, “Congratulations, my dear friend! I’m very excited to work with you.”
