Salameh and ICRC join forces on culture and humanitarian projects

Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh received at his office at the National Library-Sanayeh a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), headed by Agnes Dor, accompanied by Advisor for Political and Humanitarian Affairs, Shawqi Amineddine, and Legal Advisor, Ms. Batoul Al-Ashi.
The meeting addressed the humanitarian, social, and cultural conditions in Lebanon and ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry and the ICRC in areas of mutual interest, particularly those related to the protection of cultural heritage in times of conflict and the dissemination of principles of international humanitarian law.
Minister Salameh praised the humanitarian role played by the ICRC in supporting groups affected by war and in instilling a culture of humanitarian law in Lebanese society. He emphasized the Ministry's keenness to develop areas of cooperation to serve shared humanitarian and cultural values.
