Watch: Customs raid smuggling warehouses

As part of ongoing efforts to combat smuggling, the Directorate General of Customs – Tripoli Division carried out a series of successful operations targeting illegal goods in northern Lebanon.
A joint force from the Tripoli Land Enforcement Branch and the Tripoli Investigation Unit uncovered a warehouse containing large quantities of smuggled clothing and shoes. Those involved are being questioned, and legal measures are underway.
In a separate operation, a team from the Central Branch in Tripoli, supported by the Town Patrol and Notifications Unit, carried out a targeted raid that led to the seizure of additional smuggled shoes. Investigations have also begun with the individuals implicated.
Over the past week, the same units, along with the Abboudieh Border Patrol, intercepted around 3,000 kilograms of smuggled vegetables, as well as various food items, perfumes, shoes, and clothing. The seized vegetables and food products were handed over to the Lebanese Army.
