Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on X:
“Lebanese citizens, the airstrikes in the Mazraat Sinaï area in southern Lebanon targeted infrastructure used by Hezbollah in its attempts to rebuild its military power.
These strikes are part of the ongoing efforts by the IDF to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding militarily. The IDF operates against Hezbollah liaison personnel, contractors, engineers, businessmen, and local actors who prioritize personal profits from Iranian-funded deals over the welfare of southern residents.
Last week, the IDF conducted a strike in the Msayleh area against engineering vehicles belonging to a company owned by the Tabaja family, which has been sanctioned by the U.S. for financially supporting Hezbollah.
I expect Hezbollah’s media outlets to claim that we struck civilian facilities, but these are false allegations that deceive no one, especially the Lebanese who know very well how Hezbollah exploits Lebanese civilian infrastructure to rebuild its collapsed terrorist capabilities.”
