Significant quantities of seized drugs disposed of

On October 22, 2025, the Central Anti-Narcotics Office and the Regional Anti-Narcotics Office in the North, both part of the Judicial Police Unit, destroyed large quantities of confiscated drugs at a closed quarry site in Bsalim in Metn. The operation was carried out under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
In attendance were Mount Lebanon Deputy Public Prosecutor Judge George Khater, representing Public Prosecutor Judge Sami Sader; Head of the General Criminal Investigation Department Colonel Gerard Nasr; Head of the Central Anti-Narcotics Office Colonel Dr. Ayman Mashmoushi; Lieutenant Colonel Yasser Zeitoun from the Public Relations Division; Captain Giorgio Hussein from the Regional Anti-Narcotics Office in the North; and Walid Oueidat from the office of the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, along with several other officers and non-commissioned officers.
The destroyed materials included:
Cocaine: 140.415 kilograms
Captagon: 1,405 kilograms and approximately 2,800,000 pills
Hashish: 270.9 kilograms
