Watch: A gift that touched Trump’s heart

US President Donald Trump received a symbolic gift from Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, consisting of a golf bag and club previously used by former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Takaichi, presented the gift to Trump during their meeting in Tokyo yesterday. The late Abe was known as a close friend and regular golfing partner of Trump. The golf bag bore the signature of famous Japanese golfer Hideki Matsuyama.
Among the gifts was also a golf cap inscribed with: “Japan is back.”
The meeting focused on economic and security issues. Trump praised Takaichi, the first woman to hold the office of Japanese Prime Minister, and welcomed her commitment to accelerate military cooperation, finalize trade agreements, and sign deals related to critical minerals.
Takaichi, an ally of Shinzo Abe, also announced her intention to nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, noting that “the world has begun to enjoy a greater degree of peace in such a short period of time.”
