Aoun reviews AI Ministry progress, southern developments

President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received Minister of State for Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence Kamal Shehadeh, who briefed him on the progress achieved by the ministry and requested his support, and that of the presidential team, to accelerate the completion of its assigned tasks.
Earlier, President Aoun held a broad discussion with UN Resident Coordinator Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert on ongoing efforts to restore stability in southern Lebanon amid continued Israeli attacks and diplomatic contacts aimed at de-escalation.
The President also met with National Audiovisual Council Chairman Abdel Hadi Mahfouz, who presented a report on the council’s oversight activities with television and radio institutions, as well as proposals to better regulate online media platforms.
