Al-Hajjar meets US Treasury delegation, affirms Lebanon's commitment to combating money laundering and enhancing security

Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al-Hajjar received in his office at the ministry, a delegation from the US Treasury Department, in the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Beirut, Keith Hanigan.
During the meeting, the discussion touched on the existing cooperation, particularly in the areas of security and combating money laundering.
Minister Al-Hajjar affirmed "Lebanon's commitment to extending the authority of the state over all Lebanese territories and combating money laundering by enhancing transparency, enforcing laws, and adhering to international standards."
Al-Hajjar also stressed "the importance of continuing to provide support to the Lebanese army, the internal security forces, and all other security apparatuses, given their essential role in maintaining internal stability."
On the other hand, Hajjar met respectively in his office with MP Wael Abou Faour, and then MP Elias Jradi, with whom he discussed relevant developmental and service-related issues affairs.
