Netanyahu has thanked US President Trump for urging Israel’s president to pardon him in his corruption trial, and said he would “think about” accepting a pardon if one were on the table.
Netanyahu claimed the criminal proceedings “hurt both American and Israeli interests, which is also what he said”.
However, Netanyahu denied he would concede guilt in order to receive a pardon.
“Nobody suggests that that’s what I’ll do, and I certainly won’t do that,” he said.
