Morcos congratulates New Bar Association Leadership, calls for closer State–Bar cooperation

Minister of Information Paul Morcos visited the Beirut Bar Association to congratulate Newly Elected President Imad Martinos and members of the council following yesterday’s elections.
“We came today to extend our sincere congratulations to the President and council members,” Morcos said. “Everyone knows that yesterday’s elections were unlike any other; they carried immense democratic energy and promising choices. We place great hope in your leadership, Mr. President, and in the esteemed council.”
He emphasized that this new term will be marked by a stronger framework of cooperationbetween the Bar Association and government ministers and MPs who come from within the legal profession. He underscored the importance of advancing joint legislative and regulatory files, adding: “The presence of a lawyer in government reflects the Bar’s mission to uphold rights and justice.”
For his part, President Martinos thanked the minister for his initiative, saying: “We are fortunate to have a minister who is a lawyer we proudly regard as one of our own. We look forward to fruitful cooperation on all legal matters. The Bar stands ready to work jointly through its committees—our mission includes legislation and active participation in parliamentary and governmental legal work to ensure effective collaboration.”
