Berri calls for an urgent UN Security Council session

Commenting on the Israeli aggression that struck the town of At Tiri this morning, injuring several university and school students, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said:
“Once again, the Israeli enemy repeats its crime by targeting civilians, children, and students, most recently today in At Tiri,” assuring that it remains above accountability. Unfortunately, Lebanon, which complies with Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement of November 2024, has become a subject of condemnation and criticism.
President Berri added that Lebanon must continue filing complaints with the UN Security Council, which is today called upon to convene an urgent session to uphold Lebanon’s rights and condemn Israeli violations, whether in targeting civilians or annexing territories.
