Israel Prepares for Possible Hezbollah Response with Boosted Air Defense

The Israeli military announced that it has “decided to significantly reinforce and raise the alert level” of its air-defense system in the northern region.
It noted that intelligence assessments point to several possible courses of action Hezbollah may take in response to the assassination of Haytham Tabatabai, including rocket fire or attempts to breach the five designated points along southern Lebanon.
The army added, “We will continue our campaign to weaken Hezbollah and carry out strikes inside Lebanon to counter the group’s efforts to rebuild its capabilities and rearm.”
