Lebanon is set to experience unstable weather conditions as a fast-moving, moderate-intensity low-pressure system centered southwest of Turkey reaches the region. According to the Meteorological Department, this system will bring a sharp drop in temperatures, falling below seasonal averages, along with heavy rain at times, thunderstorms, and strong winds.
Tuesday: Skies will be mostly cloudy, with dense fog over the mountains and a noticeable drop in temperatures. Rainfall will be intermittent but may become heavy at times, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds, particularly before noon. Snow is expected at elevations starting from 2,100 meters. Rain will gradually diminish overnight, leaving colder conditions in mountainous and inland areas.
Wednesday: Weather conditions start to improve in the morning. Skies will be partly cloudy with some lingering drizzle in northern areas during the early hours. Temperatures will rise slightly throughout the day.
Thursday: The weather will stabilize, turning mostly clear with temperatures returning to seasonal daytime averages and humidity levels decreasing.
Temperatures will range between 10°C and 22°C along the coast, 8°C to 19°C in the mountains, and 6°C to 18°C inland. Winds will be westerly during the day, shifting to southwesterly at night, with speeds between 20 and 45 km/h. Sea conditions will be moderate to rough, with surface water temperatures around 25°C.
