Aoun meets new Tripoli Port board, stresses strategic role in national economy

President Joseph Aoun received the newly appointed Board of Directors of the Tripoli Port Authority, headed by Iskandar Bendali, for a review of the port’s current situation and the challenges ahead.
Bendali informed the President that the board is preparing a strategic plan to position Tripoli Port as one of the leading hubs in the Middle East.
President Aoun welcomed the delegation and wished the new board success in its mission, emphasizing the urgent need to restore Tripoli Port’s strategic role in supporting Lebanon’s national economy.
The President also met with Central Inspection head Judge George Attieh, who briefed him on the agency’s operations and the status of files under the various inspectorates, as part of efforts to strengthen oversight across public administrations and state institutions.
