Morcos discusses journalist Samir Kassab’s case with his Syrian counterpart

Minister of Information Paul Morcos met with Syrian Information Minister Hamza al-Mustafa, on the sidelines of the 55th regular session of the Arab Ministers of Information Council at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
During the meeting, Morcos raised the case of journalist Samir Kassab, who has been forcibly disappeared in Syria, stressing that “this issue must be a top priority to uncover his fate and take the necessary measures.” He emphasized that Kassab’s case is not merely individual but concerns the dignity of Lebanese and Arab media.
Al-Mustafa expressed his commitment to follow the matter closely and address it through available channels. Marcus called for intensified operational and security efforts and enhanced communication with relevant authorities to resolve the urgent humanitarian case.
