Aoun Responds to Trump’s Invitation: “I’m Ready”

President Joseph Aoun received the US Ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa, and discussed with him the situation in Lebanon and the region.
President Aoun wished Ambassador Issa success in his mission, emphasizing the importance of his role in strengthening relations between the two countries, given his understanding of Lebanon’s conditions and his ability to contribute to finding ways to support the country in the current circumstances.
President Aoun also asked the ambassador to convey his thanks for the Independence Day congratulations sent by US President Donald Trump, as well as for Trump’s recent remarks in his press conference expressing his desire to invite the Lebanese President to visit the United States.
The President expressed his gratitude for the invitation and his readiness to accept it.
