The UK’s Middle East Minister Hamish Falconer has called for all land crossings into Gaza to be opened and for restrictions on aid to be lifted as winter sets in.
“All crossings must open, NGOs must be able to operate and the block on aid must end,” Falconer said.
On Monday, the head of Gaza’s media office said only one-third of the 600 trucks supposed to enter Gaza daily under the ceasefire agreement have actually been allowed into the territory.
The “immediate priority must be aid, rapid, sustained and unrestricted”, said Falconer.
